Elle Ashworth's 7th and 8th grade 3D Artists studied different ways to create surface embellishments on fabric by printing. They recently looked at East Indian Woodblocks and how they are carved and used to print textiles. These talented 3D students created several unique designs on paper. Their strongest concept was then laser cut on our Glowforge laser cutter. Each student hand-printed their own textile. Each bag was then cut, pinned, sewn on our sewing machines, filled with pellets, and whip stitched by hand to create a bean bag for the game Corn Hole. They went out to the Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park to try their hand at the game with the beautiful bags that were fabricated.
