Parent Education Committee Presents Internet Safety and Beyond
An overarching and constantly changing component of parenting is balancing protective control with exploratory freedom, of deciding when to put up boundaries versus opening a window. This is even more confusing and expansive when applied to the wide world of the internet.
All Tampa Prep parents are invited to join us for a presentation on internet safety with Andy Ray and Gordon Opitz (both recently retired law enforcement) followed by the opportunity to have your questions answered. A sampling of topics that will be covered include Parent involvement and appropriate oversight (parental controls); Etiquette regarding student online activities; Who am I chatting with…really?; Current social media pitfalls/issues; and Safety considerations for graduates heading to college in the fall.
This event has been designed for an audience of Middle School and Upper School parents.
Please RSVP by Mar 27 and contact Gianna Rendina-Gobioff at giannarg@gmail.com with any questions.
Date: Wednesday, Mar 29
Time: 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Location: Tampa Prep Student Center
